# Can I get an APAP with previous sleep study?

I have done a sleep study but my doctor wants to make me do an in-lab titration and won’t just write a script for an APAP. Is there a service that I can take my sleep study results to and get a first time prescription for an APAP?

In my experience, it may depend on where you live and your insurance requirements but some sleep clinics and telehealth providers can review an existing sleep study and, if appropriate, prescribe an APAP without another titration study. You could ask for a copy of your sleep study report and seek a second opinion from a sleep specialist. Hopefully others here can share services they’ve used successfully.
