# Resmed CPAP machine won't shut off

Just got a resmed airsense, shut the power off but it’s still running. Is this supposed to happen?

Hi! When you turn off your ResMed AirSense, it should completely power down. If it keeps running, try unplugging it for a few minutes—sometimes it may run briefly from residual energy but should shut off soon after. If it still doesn’t turn off or makes unusual noises, it might need repair. It’s best to contact the company you purchased it from for further help or troubleshooting. Hope this helps 💙
