# Will Medicare cover EPAP? If so under what circumstances?

Under what circumstances will Medicare cover EPAP therapy? I cannot tolerate CPAP. TIA!

Medicare coverage can depend on the specific EPAP device, your diagnosis, and whether it meets Medicare’s coverage requirements. If CPAP is not tolerable, I’d recommend asking your sleep specialist whether EPAP is medically appropriate and having them check coverage with Medicare before getting a device. They may also be able to document your CPAP intolerance if that is required.
