Hi everyone,
I researched the best pillows for back sleepers over the past few days because I have been waking up with neck and upper back pain. I checked reviews on The New York Times Wirecutter, Consumer Reports, and Sleep Foundation, and these two keep popping up as top-rated:
Coop Home Goods Eden Bed Pillow
C CUSHION LAB Deep Sleep Pillow
However, I’m still torn between them. I usually sleep on my back (sometimes a bit on my side), and I need a pillow that gives firm but gentle support without being too high. I also run hot at night, so breathability matters.
Any back sleepers here with personal recommendations or experiences with either of these (or others)? Your advice would be super helpful before I hit the buy button.
Thanks in advance!
Hi there! I actually sleep on the Coop Eden Pillow and have really loved it. Granted, I’m more of a combo side/back sleeper and you seem to be the reverse of that. But I find the loft really perfect for both positions. I also like it because you can adjust the fill yourself to get the perfect height.
Hi Mehwish, both options are solid, but based on your needs, back sleeping, occasional side sleeping, and sleeping hot, the Coop Home Goods Eden Pillow may suit you better. It’s adjustable, so you can customize the loft to avoid neck strain, and its gel-infused memory foam plus breathable cover helps with cooling. The Cushion Lab pillow is firmer and more contoured, which some find restrictive for side shifting. If you value flexibility and airflow, go with Coop Eden.
