My mattress is starting to feel uncomfortable, but good mattresses seem so expensive and I don’t want to buy a new one if I don’t have to. I’m considering getting a mattress topper instead. Has anyone tried this? Does a topper really make a big difference, or am I better off just saving for a new mattress?
A mattress topper can definitely breathe new life into an old mattress, especially if the issue is minor discomfort or uneven firmness. I’ve had great luck with memory foam toppers—they’re plush and provide excellent support. Just keep in mind, if your mattress has serious sagging, a topper won’t completely fix that.
I have to disagree, a topper is a good tool for chaging up the feel or firmness of your mattress, but if you found your mattress is starting to get uncomfortable over time, a topper will not fix that. Do yourself a favor and invest in a decent mattress, if you get a good one, you won’t have to worry about this again for at least 7 years.
