Best CPAP full mask for beards?

I have a “medium to short” length beard. I’m looking for reviews from folks that use a full mask CPAP. Thanks!

Hey, thanks so much for your question! Congratulations on starting your new CPAP journey — it can definitely take some trial and error to find the right fit, especially with a beard.

Beards can affect how well a full-face mask seals. Many people with medium to short beards find certain masks work better depending on the cushion and seal type.

A few things to consider:

  • Mask cushion material: Silicone often seals better over facial hair than gel or cloth.

  • Adjustable headgear: Helps improve fit without overtightening.

  • Nasal pillow vs. full-face: Some users with beards prefer nasal pillows to avoid the full seal over hair.

With a little experimentation, you should be able to find a comfortable option that works well for you!

I also have a medium beard, so I understand how difficult it can be to get a good seal with a full-face CPAP mask. I’ve personally used the Full Face CPAP Mask for beards Includes Headgear, Cushion, Frame and Elbow(L) and it has worked really well for me.

What I liked most was the soft cushion design and adjustable headgear, which helped create a secure seal without needing to overtighten the mask. It also feels comfortable for long sleep sessions and doesn’t put too much pressure on the face.

The frame is lightweight, the airflow feels smooth, and the included cushion and elbow setup made breathing feel more natural during the night. For people with short to medium beards, I think it’s definitely worth trying because it stays stable and reduces leaks better than many other masks I tested.
