How to Sleep with Night Shift

Hello. I work as a nurse and my shift is usually 7p to 7am, but I switched jobs and was a day shift (7am to 7p) for a while for training and I really liked it and was getting up without effort, which never happened in my life. But now I am back on night and struggling bad. Is there something I can do or try to switch shifts? The only one I think is open is a 3am to 3p.

If day shift suited you, your body prefers it so switching is best long term.

If stuck on nights, sleep right after shift 8am to 2 or 3pm, keep it consistent, use blackout curtains, avoid caffeine after 2 to 3am, and get light before work. The 3am to 3pm shift is a slightly easier option.
