Hi, I have a Luna G3 CPAP machine. When I put the humidifier in its place in the machine and push it down, it often pops back up. I try again, giving it more force, and it gives a click, and again usually pops back up. When I turn the machine on, there is often a lot of noise from air leaking out around the humidifier and my statistics show a significant air leak. I suspect that the humidifier is not adequately settling into place. When I called Adapt Health (who supplied the machine), no one seems to know how to deal with this. Any suggestions?
Hi there! Thanks for sharing your experience—this sounds frustrating. It does seem like the humidifier chamber isn’t seating properly, which can cause the air leaks and noise you’re describing. Here are a few tips that might help:
-
Check for any obstructions or debris where the humidifier sits—sometimes dirt or residue can prevent a proper seal.
-
Make sure the humidifier chamber is the correct model for your Luna G3, as using the wrong one can cause fit issues.
-
Inspect the silicone gasket or seal around the chamber—if it’s damaged or worn, it may not hold snugly.
-
When placing the humidifier, gently press and hold it in place until you hear the click and feel it secure—avoid using excessive force to prevent damage.
If the issue continues, I recommend contacting Adapt Health again to report the problem. Providing pictures or a video of the issue might help them determine if the humidifier chamber is defective and if a replacement is needed. Hope this helps and you get a quieter, leak-free sleep soon!

Thanks so much for your thoughts about my humidifier issue! I will give these things a try and hopefully can identify the source of the problem. Otherwise a visit to the local Adapt Health may be in order …
Thanks again!
